Our clients, a well regarded food manufacturer, are seeking an experienced Process Development Manager to join their expanding Technology team.
Reporting to the Senior Technical Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of Process development and improvements within their state of the art plant. In a role where you will need to liaise with colleagues and associates from manufacturing to commercial, plant floor to board room, you will need to bring your proven interpersonal skills with you and quickly build and maintain those strong professional relationships. You will also have to quickly develop strong bonds with your team and mentor them where required.
In a role where you will be the source of technical knowledge you will need to bring your experience and skills in process development from your career in the food or dairy industry where you will have worked in, and preferably managed, a process development team.
This is a role which sits firmly within a succession plan for the right candidate, so you will need to be career-driven and exhibit strong business acumen.
The successful candidate will ideally possess the following attributes:
• Tertiary qualification in a relevant engineering, food technology or science degree
• Minimum of 5 years working in process development within a food or dairy manufacturing environment
• Proven technical experience, skills and knowledge of food/dairy processing technologies
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships with colleagues and associates across all levels of the professional and academic hierarchy
• Project management skills
• Experience in people management and mentoring
